However, social networking can be difficult when you trying to figure out who to connect with and who not to, in the process your connection is affected, thereby affecting your new building of connection. You would want to do the following to increase and grow your connections and network on LinkedIn:

  • Personalize Your LinkedIn Connection Requests

Most people will always select the connect button immediately after they pick interest in connecting with someone on LinkedIn, you will be generating generic requests by doing this.

You will want to go through the person’s profile and post and compose some messages such as “I’ve checked out your posts and I love your work. I would be glad to connect with you.” Or something like “I’m delighted to meet you a week ago in New York. Let’s get in touch.”

  • Use In-person Network Opportunities

You could find yourself volunteering for a charity organization, or attending a conference or seminar, ensure you speak and network with people eyeball-to-eyeball, then, connect with them on LinkedIn. This is just like the old-fashioned style, but it is evergreen and ideal.

  • Tryout LinkedIn Groups

In groups, you get to be engaged in more specific topics and with people that are in the same game just like you. Your target audience is closer to this feature, and you get to understand a lot about your niche and your prospects too. On the other hand, there is some set of rules behind every group, you will want to go through them to know how you act.

  • Ensure You Post Often

Your consistent post leads to more engagement, and the feed gets to take it to the right eyes based on the algorithm. Although not all posts will be seen by your network, that is a way to get more connections.

  • Use Visual Content

Unlike sharing images, posting video content gets more engagement and even several repostings. You get to foster your exposure and track valuable connections.

  • Take Note Of The Way You Use Keywords

Just like SEO-based articles on blogs and optimizing your website on search engines, this same thing is needed in getting more connections on LinkedIn, you will need to use variations of your job title and perform some specific functions while you consider the word counts.
